Web Programmer IV

Open Technology Group is looking for an experienced Web Programmer to use graphic design, analytic skills, and programming and scripting languages to translate business requirements into web-based applications and dynamic internet content, integrate databases within a content management system, and modify the look and feel of web pages. The successful candidate will have the ability to identify project goals, define requirements, and use structured analysis to formulate and execute program development plans. Must be creative and possess the strong leadership skills required to inspire and motivate team members through project completion.

General Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field
  • 6-8 years of relevant experience
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Creativity is a must
  • Ability to work independently or as a member of a collaborative team
  • Experience with Federal government is preferred, but not required
  • Experience with NOAA is a plus

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

  • Plans, designs, develops, and tests web applications
  • Maintains and updates web applications and all related documentation
  • Uses structured analysis and design to formulate plans for program development
  • May lead and direct a small team of other web programmers

  • Modeling & Simulation is a plus
